My Diabetes My Way spin off project in funding boost

MyWay Digital Health, a spin out company from the University of Dundee, has received a £1million Digital Health Catalyst award from Innovate UK to develop a new artificial intelligence system to support clinicians and people with diabetes. The service builds on the success of the award winning My Diabetes My Way project, which was created at the University for NHS Scotland and now has over 30,000 registrants across the country. Twitter + Citizen Science + AI = improved flood data collection

Researchers from the University of Dundee are combining Twitter, citizen science and cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to develop an early-warning system for flood-prone communities. Radical prosthetics project goes on display in New York

A University of Dundee project that incorporates everyday materials in the design of prosthetic hands, to better suit disability, has gone on display at a prestigious New York museum. Engineering students take top prize in China

A team of engineering students from the University of Dundee scooped up first place in a prestigious competition held at Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (SIBET) in China this week. More than 100 teams from around the world took part in this year’s biomedical instrumentation innovation competition, which sees teams design new medical devices. Alumnus establishes bursary to help students

An alumnus of the University of Dundee has set up a bursary to help current students who are following in his footsteps. David Peattie graduated in 1976 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. He is now the Chief Executive of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and has spent his career tackling complex commercial and engineering challenges throughout the world.
