‘There goes the Neighbourhood’ – 22-23 November

The ingredients that make for successful – and not so successful – neighbourhoods will be explored at a University of Dundee symposium later this month. ‘There goes the Neighbourhood’ will take place on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 November. Awards success for University spin-outs

Three University of Dundee spin-out companies have struck gold at this year’s Courier Business Awards. Exscientia was named Science and Technology Business of the Year while MyWay Digital Health won the Enterprise in Education prize and STAR-Dundee took the Design and Innovation Business of the Year accolade. Languages for all this weekend

Staff from the University of Dundee are offering members of the public the chance to get lost in another language this weekend when they host ‘Languages Lost and Found’, part of Being Human 2017, the UK’s annual festival of Humanities. Individuals and families looking for something different will have the chance to explore new languages at the Boomerang Centre on Kemback Street from 10am-2pm. University of Dundee graduate Laura Geyer has ditched the usual 9-5 life for one on the road, and shows no signs of stopping since graduating last year.
