DeeCon draws talented ten-year-old Drew

He may only be 10-years-old, but one of Dundee’s youngest comic producers is set to become a star attraction at the city’s largest geek gathering next week. Drew Marr, a pupil from Blackness Primary School, first attended DeeCon, the University of Dundee’s annual fundraiser for animation students, when he was just three years old. Craig Levein becomes 250,000th volunteer to join SHARE medical research project

Football manager Craig Levein has become the 250,000th volunteer to join a Scotland-wide effort to help shape the medicines of the future. Mr Levein, manager of Heart of Midlothian and former boss of the Scotland national team, signed up for SHARE (The Scottish Health Research Register) ahead of the Edinburgh derby match with Hibernian on April 6. He was immediately followed by Paul Heckingbottom, his opposite number at rivals Hibernian. Professor Blair Grubb appointed Vice-Principal (Education)

The University of Dundee has appointed Professor Blair Grubb as its new Vice-Principal (Education). Professor Grubb will join the University in August. OPEC Secretary General to address Dundee Energy Forum

The head of OPEC will make a rare UK address when he appears at a major conference to be hosted by the University of Dundee.
