‘Selfless’ charity founder inspires student’s work

A Dundee woman who founded a pioneering charity to help people living with a rare disease has inspired the artwork of a local student. Nicole McLaughlin, an Illustration student at the University of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, described Margaret Grant MBE as ‘an incredible, selfless woman’ after handing over four, specially-produced clay plates to the Brittle Bone Society at its headquarters in the city. Art to question what it means to be queer

A new exhibition exploring what it means to be queer will go on display at the University of Dundee this month. ‘The Queer Dot’ which will feature artwork from current students and graduates relating to lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans, non-binary and queer experiences, will open to the public on Monday 22nd April at 5.30pm. How gunshot residue could plot against you

Dundee students set to scrum in national rugby final

University of Dundee rugby players will swap the lecture hall for the lineout next week they take on Aberdeenshire RFC in the Men’s Rugby National Bowl Final. The Dundee Uni Medics (DUMS) Rugby team, who will take to the pitch at Murrayfield in front of thousands of rugby fans on Saturday 27 April, said getting to the final is a dream come true for the self-coached Dundee students.
