International Distinguished Scientist Award for Dundee Professor
Professor Graham Ogden, of the University of Dundee, has been awarded the 2019 IADR Distinguished Scientist Award in Oral Medicine & Pathology Research, one of the highest awards in dental research. Intelligent testing could save lives by defusing ticking time bomb of liver disease
A new way of detecting liver disease decades before it can become fatal has been developed by a team of scientists at the University of Dundee and NHS Tayside. It comes as clinicians warn of a `ticking time bomb’ of alcohol-related and obesity-related liver diseases. Strathmore Trophy won by Bathgate Academy
Pupils from Bathgate Academy have won the 2019 Strathmore Trophy computing competition. The Bathgate team beat competition from 15 other schools with their plan to use the artificial intelligence technology used by the likes of Alexa and Siri to help people with the most complex disabilities. Mental health support inspires graduate Aleksandra
A University of Dundee graduate who overcame significant and persistent mental health issues during her studies says the experiences are driving her ambition to become a doctor and help others in need of support.
