Dundee physicist granted £1.4 million to make the invisible visible
A University of Dundee physicist has been awarded £1.4million in funding from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to develop the next generation of microscopes. Dundee students named as Europe’s best
Three University of Dundee students have been named as the top undergraduates in Europe in their respective fields. Scott Sheldrick, Chester Cornford and Lola Knibb were named as regional winners for Europe in the 2019 Global Undergraduate Awards. A further five Dundee students were highly commended by judges in the competition, which aims to celebrate top undergraduate coursework and foster interdisciplinary collaboration between students and recent graduates worldwide. Dundee scientist is Scotland’s top entrepreneurial academic
An entrepreneurial scientist from the University of Dundee has proven his business concept is more than skin deep after winning one of the country’s top enterprise awards. Dr Andrew Woodland has been named the winner of the 2019 Converge Challenge, scooping £78,000 to develop his new drug discovery company, In4Derm. High blood sugar variability increases risk for diabetes patients
New research presented at this year’s Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Barcelona, Spain shows that patients with the highest variability in their blood sugar control are more than twice as likely to die as those with the most stable blood sugar measurements.
