Wellcome funding boost for Dundee scientists

University of Dundee scientists have won a hat-trick of funding awards from the Wellcome Trust that will see more than £6million invested in their research. Steve Hallett (25) reached what he described as the ‘sparkling diamonds’ of Dundee when he crossed the River Tay at midnight on Easter Sunday, during a 700+ mile walk from Newquay to John O’Groats in memory of his late mother. ‘Wellcome Book Prize 2017: The Story' – 29th April

Royal visit highlights Thailand connections for University

The University of Dundee welcomed a royal visitor this weekend with HRH Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand arriving to see the world-class education and training facilities in the School of Medicine at Ninewells. Mental health nurse shortlisted for prestigious award

A mental health nursing student from the University of Dundee is up for a prestigious award from the Royal College of Nursing. Third-year student Kirsty Killiard is the only mental health nurse from Scotland to be shortlisted for the national Andrew Parker Student Nurse Award, which will be announced in May.
