Wellcome funding boost for Dundee scientists
University of Dundee scientists have won a hat-trick of funding awards from the Wellcome Trust that will see more than £6million invested in their research. Rambling rover reaches the ‘diamonds’ of Dundee
Steve Hallett (25) reached what he described as the ‘sparkling diamonds’ of Dundee when he crossed the River Tay at midnight on Easter Sunday, during a 700+ mile walk from Newquay to John O’Groats in memory of his late mother. ‘Wellcome Book Prize 2017: The Story' – 29th April
Award-winning author Val McDermid will be exploring books that grapple with life and death as part of the next Saturday Evening Lecture at the University of Dundee. The crime writer will be discussing this year’s Wellcome Book Prize, a competition which celebrates works of fiction or non-fiction that engage with some aspect of medicine. Royal visit highlights Thailand connections for University
The University of Dundee welcomed a royal visitor this weekend with HRH Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand arriving to see the world-class education and training facilities in the School of Medicine at Ninewells. The Princess has established the HRH Princess Chulabhorn College of Medical Science in Thailand. Mental health nurse shortlisted for prestigious award
A mental health nursing student from the University of Dundee is up for a prestigious award from the Royal College of Nursing. Third-year student Kirsty Killiard is the only mental health nurse from Scotland to be shortlisted for the national Andrew Parker Student Nurse Award, which will be announced in May.
