Bodies, Botanicals & Bindings: Reimagining Rare Books
A selection of rare books dating back to the early 16th century has gone on display at the University of Dundee, alongside work by artists, designers and writers inspired by them. Exhibits at ‘Bodies, Botanicals & Bindings: Reimagining Rare Books’ in the Lamb Gallery, Tower Building, include jewellery, etchings, drawings, textiles and ceramics as well as a range of anatomical, medical, literary and religious texts held by the University Archives' rare book collections. Dundee's young women to become medicine makers
The University of Dundee will help to inspire the next generation of female scientists when it welcomes around 80 local youngsters to campus tonight. Members of Girlguiding Dundee will have the opportunity to earn a unique badge on an educational visit to the University’s School of Life Sciences. Brexit not an obstacle to environmental planning, study suggests
Brexit could offer greater flexibility for environmental planners in the UK, with Scotland potentially poised to benefit most, according to a recent study. The report, commissioned by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and conducted by academics across the UK including researchers at the University of Dundee, suggests that Brexit could provide a great opportunity for flexibility for planners in the future. Satellite images show Storm Erik isn’t idle

Students snow-off their skills in China
Four engineering students from the University of Dundee faced -15°C temperatures and teams from across the world when they took part in the 11th International Snow Sculpture Competition in Harbin, China. The team, consisting of PhD students Azin Lamei and Shuijin Li, Masters student Thomas Riccio and Undergraduate student IevaBočkutė, had just three days to chisel a 27 cubic-metre snow cube with hand tools into a standout sculpture.
