Major European Forensic Science award for Dundee Professor

Professor Niamh Nic Daeid, of the University of Dundee, has been named the recipient of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) Distinguished Forensic Scientist Award. Professor NicDaeid, Director of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science (LRCFS) at Dundee, is the first woman to be presented with the honour, and also the first person from a UK academic institution. New Chancellor and 3000 students to be welcomed to Dundee

The University of Dundee will next week roll out the red carpet for more than 3000 new students and their new Chancellor. City Square will be abuzz with excitement and anticipation on Monday 3 September when the new crop of undergraduate and postgraduate students congregate ahead of the traditional greeting in the Caird Hall. Frankenstein – a complete public reading and mystery tour

A complete public reading of Frankenstein is to take place over a single weekend in various locations in and around the city that inspired Mary Shelley to become a writer. The event, to be held on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September, forms part of the University of Dundee’s programme to celebrate the book’s 200th anniversary. New Contemporaries accolade for artists and architect

Fourteen graduates who vowed visitors to this year’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and Architecture Degree Show have been chosen to exhibit at Scotland’s most prestigious platform for young creative talent.
