Professor to shed light on the power of lasers
Lasers are often associated with science fiction, but the secrets of how they interact with the real world are to be revealed at the latest Cafe Science Dundee event. Degree Show work a family affair for Dundee student
He was a British soldier killed by the IRA at the height of Northern Ireland’s Troubles, but 41 years after Jack Marshall’s death, his life is to be honoured by his artist granddaughter at one of Scotland’s biggest cultural events. A loved one’s touch might help people perform difficult mental tasks better and deal with setbacks more effectively, according to new research from the University of Dundee. Royal Society honour for Professor Tracy Palmer
Professor Tracy Palmer of the University of Dundee has been named a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), the world's oldest scientific academy in continuous existence. Professor Palmer holds a Chair in Molecular Microbiology in the School of Life Sciences at Dundee. Her research career has been focussed on the study of bacteria.
