Shanghai showcase for Scottish video art

The second phase of a major Chinese showcase of Scotland’s internationally renowned contemporary art scene, led by the University of Dundee’s Cooper Gallery, opens this weekend. Phase Two of ‘CURRENT: Contemporary Art from Scotland’ opens at Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum on Saturday, 17th December. Blood test points to much earlier detection of lung cancer

A new blood test has been developed that can accurately detect antibodies to lung cancer cells at an early stage, potentially up to five years before traditional scans show any damage. The early results of the largest ever randomised trial for lung cancer screening using the blood test in a population of approximately 12,000 high risk participants, are presented at the British Thoracic Society (BTS) Winter Meeting today (Friday 9th December 2016). £13.6 million to establish new Wellcome Research Centre

The University of Dundee has been awarded £13.6 million by Wellcome to establish a new research centre to tackle some of the world’s most devastating diseases.
