Dozens of fascinating digital 3D models are shedding new light on specimens held at the University of Dundee’s D’Arcy Thompson Museum while enhancing the learning of anatomy students around the world.  State-of-the-art scanning and design techniques have been deployed to digitise prairie dogs, puffer fish and giant tortoises as well as the skulls of elephants, rhinoceroses and other items from the collection of D’Arcy Thompson, Dundee’s celebrated first Professor of Biology. Dundee’s student experience climbs in rankings

The University of Dundee has been ranked 15th in the UK, a rise of six places, in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey. The survey asks students at 122 UK institutions to rate their experience across eight areas – academic experience, university facilities, societal experience, student welfare, accommodation, industry connections, security and students’ union. The complex beauty of roots exposed

An art exhibition depicting the beauty of the roots beneath our feet, has gone on display at University of Dundee before it heads to the Scottish Parliament next month. ‘The Beauty of Roots’ aims to illustrate the importance of vegetable and tree roots to environmental sustainability and food security through the scientific work of the James Hutton Institute. Dundee rated among world’s best places to study energy law

The University of Dundee’s Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) has been rated one of the best places in the world to study energy law. The LLM Guide, a respected online ranking which compares Master of Laws courses worldwide, placed Dundee in the top 10 of its Energy Law 2017 list.
