‘Precision Medicine in Diabetes’ Café Science on 13th February
A University of Dundee professor will be discussing a potentially revolutionary change to diabetes treatment at the next Café Science event. Design students look to the Waterfront for latest project
The changing face of Dundee’s waterfront is providing the inspiration for the next generation of designers at the University of Dundee. The second year Textile Design students from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design have used the redevelopment of the city’s Waterfront to create designs that capture the creativity behind its transformation. Support for health professionals reduces unnecessary antibiotic use in hospitals
A major international review led by the University of Dundee’s Professor Peter Davey has identified effective and safe ways to reduce unnecessary use of antibiotics in hospitals. The updated Cochrane Review published today concludes that guidelines and policies to pinpoint the patients in need of antibiotics have the greatest impact when doctors are supported to change their prescribing behaviour. University honours newest graduates – 3000 miles away
The University of Dundee is celebrating the graduation of our latest round of successful students – in Kuwait. A ceremony in Kuwait has seen almost 50 new graduates handed their awards in Diabetes Care, Education and Management. The University has been delivering postgraduate education in Kuwait for five years, helping tackle the country’s chronic diabetes problem. Nine Trades to help ease path to University
An organisation that celebrates the legacy of bonnet makers, fleshers and weavers is to help aspiring scientists, designers and engineers fulfil their academic potential at the University of Dundee. The historic Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee will provide financial support to help students who have missed out on higher education as a result of adversity.
