A Fife mother whose baby son was hospitalised by a kidney condition said that the nursing staff who cared for him inspired her to enter the profession. Charlotte Scotland says she has found her calling as she prepares to receive a BSc in Adult Nursing from the University of Dundee on Friday. New programme to help address nursing shortage

A programme aimed at addressing Scotland’s record level of vacant nursing posts has been launched by the University of Dundee. The Return to Practice initiative will continue in February 2020, providing a pathway for former nursing staff to return to the profession in just three months. Operated by the University’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the course includes one week of on-campus study with 450 hours of practice on placement, refreshing skills and bringing students up to current professional standards. Crime cohort set to graduate

A publican used to hearing customers complain about the price of a pint being ‘murder’ will this Thursday become one of the first students to graduate from a unique crime writing course at the University of Dundee.
