University moves up a gear with Cycle Friendly Award
The University of Dundee has been named Cycle Friendly Campus of the Year, an award recognising the institution’s efforts to promote sustainable travel. The award was presented at Cycling Scotland’s inaugural award ceremony and celebrates the University as the first campus in Scotland to achieved Cycle Friendly status through its five-year strategy to build a sustainable transport hub. Dennis is winner of ‘The Scholarship’ 2016
This year’s winner of ‘The Scholarship’, the Apprentice-style radio reality show that offers talented Ghanaian students the chance to win a fully paid postgraduate place in Scotland, has matriculated at the University of Dundee. Dennis Asare’s prize, worth £30,000, includes a one-year postgraduate scholarship for the MSc Energy Studies course and travel, living, and learning material allowances. Dundee and Abertay students raise thousands for vulnerable children around the world
Students from the Islamic Societies at the Universities of Dundee and Abertay raised almost £10,000 in one night for vulnerable children and orphans around the world. The students, who form part of an international effort which sees fundraising from afar afield as Qatar and Canada for Islamic Relief, look likely to exceed their £15,000 target this year. ‘Generation-Tech: Crossing the Digital Divide’ – 10th November
Academics from the University of Dundee are inviting the public to cross the digital divide as part of this year’s Dundee Science Festival.
