Balkan sensation set to sing in Dundee
Studying abroad can be one of the most rewarding experiences for students, but undertaking a degree in a foreign country can also make them miss the sights and sounds of home. In an effort to make Dundee feel like a home-from-home, University of Dundee students will welcome famous Bulgarian singer, Tedi Eroteeva, as she performs at a Balkan Night on Thursday, 21st March. World stage for University expert
The University of Dundee’s Professor Niamh Nic Daeid will this week represent the institution at one of the largest global celebrations of science. Professor Nic Daeid, Director of the University’s Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science (LRCFS), is a panellist at the World Science Festival Brisbane 2019, which takes place in the Australian city from Wednesday 20 to Sunday 24 March. Drought of knowledge threatens water supplies
The people of Scotland need to re-evaluate their relationship with water as part of a global effort to make supplies sustainable. Dr Emmanuel Akpabio, a research fellow at the University of Dundee, says that education is crucial in ensuring that safe, sustainable water supplies are available to every person, regardless of their location. Ronnie Bowie elected Chair of Court
Mr Ronnie Bowie has been elected Chair of Court, the University’s governing body, and will serve a period of three years from 1 August 2019. Mr Bowie returns as Chair of Court, having served in the position for the past three years. This is the first time an election has been held for the Chair following the Higher Education Governance (Scotland) Act 2016.
