Cabinet of Curiosity to open at University
A ‘Cabinet of Curiosity’ will be opened this week when highlights from the Tayside Medical History Museum go on display at the University of Dundee’s Lamb Gallery. Opening on Wednesday, 19th March, the exhibition features dozens of items from one of the most outstanding medical collections in Scotland. The Tayside Medical History Museum includes material from Dundee Royal Infirmary, Royal Dundee Liff Hospital, Ninewells Hospital and Sunnyside Hospital among others. QAA report confirms 'robust arrangements for academic standards and quality enhancement' at the University of Dundee
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) has confirmed there are robust arrangements for academic standards and quality enhancement at the University of Dundee. Following an Enhancement-led Institutional Review (ELIR) that took place in October and November last year, QAA reviewers judged that the University has effectivearrangements for managing academic standards and enhancing the student learning experience. Law students seeking support to make their moot point
A group of University of Dundee Law students set to compete in Europe’s most prestigious legal debating competition are appealing for help to get them to The Hague. The team of Carlotta Bruessel, Sanjana Swaroop, Kevin Burns and Aislinn Logan will represent Scotland in the semi-finals - and hopefully the final – of the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition at the Peace Palace in The Hague at the end of April. Dundee’s universities secure lion’s share of innovation funding
The University of Dundee and Abertay University are among only nine in the UK to secure funding for technology and digital innovation projects in the 2014 Fast Forward competition run by the Intellectual Property Office of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills. More than £660,000 was awarded to nine projects by the Intellectual Property Office to help businesses take their innovative ideas off the drawing board, and into the marketplace. Geology’s “rock star” to go underground- Saturday Evening Lecture on 22nd March
Renowned geologist and broadcaster Professor Iain Stewart will take his audience on a tour beneath the surface of the UK during the next Saturday Evening Lecture at the University of Dundee.
