University in Top 10 for graduate employment

The University of Dundee is one of the top UK universities for graduate employment, according to this year’s Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey. The survey, published by the Higher Education Statistics Authority, shows that 96.2% of Dundee graduates were in work or further study six months after graduation, up from 94.5% last year. In analysis of the data carried out by Times Higher Education, only seven large UK institutions scored higher. New exhibition focuses on cult classic console

The University of Dundee’s Centrespace Gallery is hosting a unique exhibition involving a cult classic video games console. The Netherland’s based artistic duo, JODI, also known as Jodi.org, will be featuring experiments they have carried out using a ZX Spectrum, the 8-bit home computer that was manufactured in Dundee. The exhibition will include their programmes written in the computer language BASIC and their modification of ‘Jet Set Willy’, the popular platform game made available for the console in the mid-80s. Dundee International Book Prize 2016 shortlist announced

The shortlist for this year’s Dundee International Book Prize has been drawn from three continents, with novels from as far south as New Zealand, to Scotland’s most northerly tip. University to provide data reception and processing facilities for Indian satellite

The University of Dundee has entered into an agreement with Antrix Corporation Limited, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), to receive data from one of its satellites for use in environmental research. The Dundee Satellite Receiving Station (DSRS) is one of the main facilities in the UK acquiring data from space and will now directly receive data from the ISRO-built Oceansat-2 Earth Observation (EO) satellite.
