University of Dundee student Beth Henderson has seen her intricate silversmithing skills recognised at the Goldsmith’s Precious Metal Bursary Awards 2016. Twenty-one-year-old Beth, originally from Caithness, has won a Goldsmiths Precious Metal Bursary Award of £1000 to enable her to buy materials for her work. Great War Dundee wins 2016 Stephen Fry Award

The Great War Dundee (GWD) Commemorative Project has won the Stephen Fry Award for Excellence in Public Engagement with Research 2016. University of Dundee historians Dr Billy Kenefick and Dr Derek Patrick co-founded the GWD project and, alongside partner groups, are coordinating the city-wide approach to commemorate the conflict. University set to benefit from IOMet Pharma deal

The University of Dundee is set to benefit after a specialist Scottish drug discovery firm it helped to grow was bought out in a multi-million pound £280 million deal. Researchers at the University worked with Edinburgh-based IOmet Pharma to develop IDO and TDO inhibitors – rate-limiting enzymes that are key targets for the global pharmaceutical industry in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Dundee named among world’s `most international’ universities

The University of Dundee has been named among the world’s `most international’ universities in a new global list compiled by the leading higher education journal, Times Higher Education. Fiona’s tablet tally rises to £53,000 for breast cancer research

Sweet-toothed Taysiders and Fifers have boosted the fantastic fundraising efforts of a Dundee woman through sales of her homemade tablet – with over £53,000 raised for breast cancer research. Mrs Fiona Edwards has been fundraising since 2003 by selling her homemade tablet at running events and through friends and family around Tayside and Fife.
