Clouds, Comics and Gaming: Too cool for school?
The increasing use of the digital, cultural and unconventional in teaching will be explored at the next instalment of the University of Dundee’s Saturday Evening Lecture Series. ‘Clouds, Comics and Gaming: Too cool for school?’ takes place at the Dalhousie Building, Old Hawkhill, at 6pm on Saturday, 26th March. A vision for medicine precision with new disease data link-up
Vast amounts of data generated by screening patients for diseases like cancer and arthritis at The University of Manchester will now be used to improve treatment and drug safety in partnership with the University of Dundee. The two universities have joined forces to transform medical treatment through protein analysis technology which identifies biomarkers of disease. Could bread mould build a better rechargeable battery?
A naturally occurring red bread mould could be the key to producing more sustainable electrochemical materials for use in rechargeable batteries, researchers at the University of Dundee have found. Principal and Rector to row, row, row for charity
Professor Sir Pete Downes and Mark Beaumont, Principal and Rector of the University respectively, will next month join members of Dundee University Boat Club for a rowing marathon to help celebrate the club’s 25th anniversary. The fundraising event on Friday, 1st April will see six rowing machines installed at the University’s Institute for Sports and Exercise, outside Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) and outside the Overgate Shopping Centre.
