Judges for Dundee International Book Prize 2015 announced

A prestigious judging panel will bring expertise from all corners of the publishing industry to bear on this year’s Dundee International Book Prize. Writer and television/radio presenter Danny Wallace, award-winning author Denise Mina, broadcaster Fred MacAulay, literary agent Ed Wilson and Creative Scotland’s Jenny Niven will cast their eyes on the labours of aspiring novelists from across the globe. Midwives4all builds on pioneering Dundee work

An international initiative to spread knowledge about the benefits of midwives and evidence-based midwifery will be launched next week, building on pioneering work from the University of Dundee. Midwives4all is an initiative of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. It follows on from a major Lancet series on midwifery which was co-authored by Professor Mary Renfrew from the University of Dundee last year. Dundee to Host 2015 Qualitative Election Study of Britain

Researchers at the University of Dundee and GESIS-Liebniz Institute in Cologne, Germany are working intensively with voters to identify the issues, personalities and other factors that will decide this year’s General Election. ‘Symbiosis’ – art exhibition explores experiences of Women in Science

An exhibition of artwork celebrating the scientific achievements of women opens in Dundee on Friday, 13th March. ‘Symbiosis’ is a unique exploration of the fusion of science and art, and is taking place at Tin Roof Collective, Bellfield Street.
