Research highlights the role of genes in eczema
Researchers including Dr Sara Brown and Professor Irwin McLean from the University of Dundee have discovered 10 new genetic variants that help determine which people will develop eczema, highlighting potential new targets for therapeutic research. Ramsay and Berry to Bake Off for Dundee Botanic Garden
Gordon Ramsay and Mary Berry are set to go head to head later this month at a special bake-off designed to raise money for Dundee’s Botanic Garden. The contestants are, however, not the well-known stars of culinary television but rather employees of the University of Dundee who decided to host the fundraiser by stepping into roles more commonly associated with their famous namesakes. PAMIS awarded £5000 by Alliance Trust Foundation
University of Dundee-based charity PAMIS have received £5000 from the Alliance Trust Foundation for a project to work with young families across Tayside who have recently received a diagnosis of profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). The Foundation is run by a committee of Alliance Trust employees from across the business. Industry giants to visit Dundee Comics Creative Space during Literary Festival
Giants from the comics industry will visit Dundee next week for a sneak preview of a new studio aiming to produce the next generation of superstar artists and writers.
