University earns renewed Athena SWAN award
The University of Dundee’s work in advancing gender equality across the institution has earned another Bronze Athena SWAN award from the Equality Challenge Unit for the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine and Nursing & Health Sciences. Independent films from China to get Dundee screening
A selection of films by award-winning Chinese filmmaker Zhao Dayong are to be screened by the University of Dundee. The Centrespace Gallery will be showing four of Dayong’s internationally celebrated films from Monday, 15th May. Computing Degree Show 2017
Innovative and thought-provoking work produced by software engineers, games developers, computer programmers, tech entrepreneurs and other digital pioneers from the University of Dundee will go on display this week. The Computing Degree Show 2017, taking place at the University’s Queen Mother Building, celebrates the creative talent of almost 50 students about to complete the final year of their undergraduate courses. Breast cancer trial to be led by Dundee researchers
A new scheme will reduce women’s risk of developing breast cancer by helping them lose weight and become more active. The £1 million pilot scheme, funded by the Scottish Government, will be led by the University of Dundee as a research trial and supported by the charity Breast Cancer Now. Women aged over 50 attending their routine breast screening appointments will be asked to take part in the trial, ActWELL, which will run in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
