Accolades and awards for Degree Show exhibitors
Eighteen students who exhibited at this year’s University of Dundee Art, Design and Architecture Degree Show have been selected for Scotland’s most prestigious showcases of emerging talent while another is in the running for a £20,000 prize. The hugely successful 2017 Degree Show attracted around 16,000 visitors over the course of its 10-day run last month. The exhibition received glowing reviews from art critics and led to many graduands receiving offers of jobs, residencies and internships as well as winning awards for their work. Seeing double at University of Dundee as twins graduate
It will be a double celebration for the family of Jennifer and Victoria Livie as the twins collect their identical degrees this week. For most people, the thought of going through medical school is daunting, but what if during your studies you were struck with a rare disorder that rendered you paralysed? Eczema art exhibition to go on display
People who suffer from eczema will be the focus of a new exhibition at the University of Dundee. ‘Beyond Skin’ will explore the life and science behind atopic eczema and will open at the LifeSpace Gallery on Tuesday, 27th June, featuring work by artists Gordon Douglas, Trevor Gordon, Beverley Hood and Josie Vallely. Dundee clinician scientist receives prestigious medical prize
The University of Dundee’s Dr Miratul Muqit has received a prestigious award recognising his breakthroughs in understanding Parkinson’s disease. Dr Muqit is both a Consultant Neurologist at Ninewells Hospital, where he treats Parkinson’s patients, and a researcher carrying out cutting-edge research into the debilitating condition at the University’s School of Life Sciences.
