Fundraiser’s visit inspires Dundee researchers
A charity trekker whose husband’s life was cut short by Parkinson’s disease has been hailed as an inspiration by University of Dundee researchers developing treatments for the condition. Lyndsey Isaacs visited the University’s School of Life Sciences on Friday as she continues her 200-mile fundraising walk along Scotland’s coastline. MOOC aims to improve video game experience
The University of Dundee has launched a new online course to help video games companies use the vast amount of data collected from users to enhance the gaming experience and increase profits. Most of the data generated by companies is disregarded despite its value to the gaming industry. This is due to a lack of expertise in storing and analysing data effectively in order to gain insights into gamers’ actions and behaviours. Dundee named among ‘Golden Age’ elite
The University of Dundee has been ranked 22nd in the world, and 1st in Scotland, in a new league table of universities founded in the post-war ‘Golden Age’. The Times Higher Education (THE) Golden Age University Rankings cover universities established in the two decades between 1945 and 1967, with 200 institutions from 44 different countries included in the 2018 edition. The Gaff to open at Zoology Museum
A new exhibition of work by Scottish artists David Blyth and Nick Gordon inspired by celebrated polymath D’Arcy Thompson will go on display at the museum that bears his name later this week.
