Scientists enhance understanding of cancer development mechanisms

An interdisciplinary research collaboration has taken a significant step towards understanding the mutational causes of cancers, a finding which may one day lead to personalised cancer treatment. The team from the University of Dundee, European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) and the Wellcome Sanger Institute used a type of worm called C. elegans as a model to study how cancer-causing genetic mutations arise when DNA is inaccurately replicated or when damaged DNA is not repaired. Degree Show 2018: V&A Dundee will build city’s reputation for design

Some of the UK’s brightest emerging creative talents will show they are ready to take on the world when the University of Dundee hosts its annual Art, Design and Architecture Degree Show. Dundee tops UK for forensic science, top 10 graduate prospects

The University of Dundee has been ranked top in the United Kingdom for Forensic Science in the 2019 edition of the Complete University Guide league tables. Dundee also ranked 6th in the UK and top in Scotland for graduate prospects.
