One of the country’s largest animation, gaming and cosplay conventions will take place at the University of Dundee next month as thousands of fans gather for the city’s biggest geek-off. Anime characters, stormtroopers, supervillains and video game stars will bring a splash of colour to campus when DeeCon 2018 takes place on Saturday 7 April. Argument technology helping to combat fake news

Cutting-edge argument technology developed at the University of Dundee will be used by thousands of school pupils across the UK this month as part of a major BBC initiative supporting young people to identify real news and filter out fake or false information. Minister helps to launch new Graduate Apprenticeships

Joe Fitzpatrick, MSP for Dundee West and Minister for Parliamentary Business, helped launch new Graduate Apprenticeship courses at the University of Dundee when he visited campus today. Applications are now open for a total of six Graduate Apprenticeship programmes at Dundee. Mr Fitzpatrick visited the University’s Queen Mother Building to meet with Graduate Apprentices on existing programmes. Staff and students from the University of Dundee will go head to head this month during a live recording of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The 3rd Degree’ hosted by comedian Steve Punt.
