Staff and students from the University of Dundee will go head to head this month during a live recording of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The 3rd Degree’ hosted by comedian Steve Punt.
Two teams of three will flex their mental muscles in front of a live audience on Friday 23 March at the D’Arcy Thompson Lecture Theatre in the University’s Tower Building.
Taking on their students in a battle of the wits will be Dr Paul Campbell, Reader in Physics, Professor Christopher Spray, Chair of Water Science and Policy, and Dr Janice Aitken, Senior Lecturer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design.
Professor Spray said, “There’s no better test for us ‘Dons’ than taking on our current students. We have the knowledge and experience but it’s time we see whether we’ve passed the baton of brilliance to the next generation.”
The team of students are currently undergoing selection process.
The event is free to attend but tickets must be booked in advance. Doors open at 5.30pm and the recording begins at 6pm. All are welcome, however, the event may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.
