Town and Regional Planning at the University of Dundee recently awarded the Town and Country Planning Association (Scotland) Prize for the best student in the MSc Spatial Planning course to Ryan Blair. Ryan recently graduated with distinction in the MSc Spatial Planning with Environmental Assessment and previously graduated with a first class honours degree in geography from the University of Dundee. Dundee students on top at Drawing Places

Dundee students came out on top against students from Herriot Watt at this year's Drawing Places event, winning the prize for their masterplanning of an area of Knockroon. Drawing Places is a Scottish Government initiative, intended to to bring planners and engineers back-to-basics on how to draw and visualise places. This session, aimed at students who are new to planning, was held over two days (12/13 Nov) at Dumfries House, in collaboratrion with the Prince's Foundation. The Annual Dundee City Council Civic Award for third year students of Town and Regional Planning at Dundee University School of the Environment took place on Wednesday 26 Feb 2014.  The Project involved the proposed redevelopment of a site with the Central Waterfront area (referred to as Plot 2 on Dundee Waterfront Masterplan document).
