CECHR Incubator Competition - 2014

Applications are invited for up to three 'incubator grants', sharing from a maximum fund of £5,000, to support new interdisciplinary projects aligned to the Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience (CECHR) mission of promoting more sustainable and equitable futures.  This year proposals aligned to the University's Transformation Agenda are particularly encouraged, especially around the three core themes of 'promoting the sustainable use of global resources', 'shaping the future through innovative design' and 'improving social, cultural and physical well-being'.  Funding may be directed towards any aspect of the research process e.g. academic exchange, hosting a workshop, preparing a grant application or initiating a pilot study.  Proposals should outline the importance of the research question and potential deliverables along with a concise explanation of how the funds will be utilised. Projects must have a UoD collaborator and are  expected to be interdisciplinary and collaborative. Applications will be judged by an independent panel and the outcomes known by the middle of June. Proposals should be limited to a single side of A4 using the application template attached. A brief report acknowledging CECHR will be required upon completion, which will be published on the website and featured in the Annual Report.
