Research Fellow in Visual Arts Practice at University of the West of England, Bristol
PLaCE is an international consortium of 4 academic research centres that address issues of site, location, context and environment at the intersection of a multiplicity of disciplines and creative practices, including land art, landscape, and architecture. The 4 centres include: PLaCE, England (UWE Bristol); PLaCE, USA (University of Minnesota); PLaCE, Scotland (University of Dundee); and PLaCE, Australia (University of Melbourne). This promises to be a rich program of
Dr. Iain Biggs has published on the politics of arts-led research, doctoral supervision and related educational concerns, and on contemporary art related to place and identity, including deep mapping. Since 1997, he has been the editor of Wild Conversations Press. Publications include:
