Prostate Cancer UK, Movember and Scottish Government pump £500,000 into search for answers over killer disease
Dundee researchers handed key role in battle against most common male cancer Prostate Cancer UK, The Movember Foundation and the Scottish Government have today (Friday 27 June) handed researchers at Dundee University a six figure sum to investigate unanswered questions surrounding prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men in Scotland. Willow Dome proves a hit with Grange pupils
An outdoor classroom designed by University of Dundee architecture students has proved such a hit with pupils that their school had had to ration the time they spend in it to make sure everyone gets their fair share. The classroom was specially designed for Grange Primary School in Monifieth by the architecture students as part of their second-year coursework. A total of 68 students submitted designs, before voting to select the five best proposals put forward by their peers. New Investigator grant to support research in skin disorders
A University of Dundee scientist has been awarded a prestigious Medical Research Council New Investigator grant to pursue her work on understanding and developing treatments for skin disorders. Dr Deena Leslie Pedrioli, of the College of Life Sciences at the University, has been awarded £450,000 by the MRC to support her work for the next three years. The grant will also create an additional research assistant post. ‘Shifting Sands’ exhibition to open in Montrose
