Braeview’s wearable technology designs win them Strathmore Trophy 2014

A team of pupils from Braeview Academy have won the University of Dundee’s Strathmore Trophy 2014 after impressing judges with their designs for wearable technology. They beat off competition from 14 schools across eastern Scotland at the event, which took place at the University’s Queen Mother Building on Monday, 23rd June. Teams of four from the S2 age group competed against each other in a challenge set by staff at the University’s School of Computing. Professor Chris Barratt to deliver Eshre keynote lecture on male infertility

Septuagenarian hillwalker Dr David May will this week undertake the gruelling 57-mile Cateran Trail in aid of the University of Dundee-based charity PAMIS. A former researcher and lecturer at the University, Dr May’s extensive contribution to the field of learning disability stretches back over 30 years. Brian Cox backs `The Lung Ranger’

University of Dundee Rector Brian Cox is backing a team of students in their efforts to develop `The Lung Ranger’, a device to help combat some of the effects of cystic fibrosis.
