Graham Fagen chosen to represent Scotland at 56th Venice Biennale

Graham Fagen, a Senior Lecturer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) and one of the UK’s foremost contemporary artists, has been chosen to lead Scotland’s representation at the 2015 Venice Biennale. The Biennale is regarded as the largest and most prestigious visual arts exhibition in the world, and will attract millions of visitors from around the world when it takes place for the 56th time next year. Foot analysis takes a step forward

A unique system developed at the University of Dundee could revolutionise the design of specialist footwear for people with a range of conditions. Using advanced video techniques to capture measurements of the foot in motion, a team at the University’s Institute of Motion Analysis and Research (IMAR) have found it is possible to build a frame-by-frame reconstruction of the shape of the foot as it changes throughout each step. Computing student turns teacher

A University of Dundee student has turned successful teacher by providing computing tuition to people around the world. Jose Salvatierra (19), from Spain, is only in his second year studying Applied Computing at Dundee but he has already produced an entire computing course for beginners and made it available online, with hundreds of customers taking it within the first six weeks. £5m funding boost for V&A at Dundee from Creative Scotland

V&A at Dundee has been awarded £5m from National Lottery funds through Creative Scotland to help establish an international centre of design for Scotland. Chronic pain addressed at SPaRC – annual meeting March 27th

Chronic pain is common to many major diseases and conditions and affects hundreds of thousands of people across Scotland. But how are the healthcare system and research community addressing it?
