The Independence Referendum on 18th September gives the Women of Scotland an opportunity to shape their future. Women on both sides of the debate have very different visions of what Scotland could become. This was made clear at a 5 Million Questions event at the University of Dundee last year. Inspirational and influential scientist to mark International Women’s Day
Professor Anne Glover, Chief Scientific Adviser to the European Commission and one of the most influential women in science, will visit the University of Dundee this weekend to discuss her career and the challenges she has faced. Professor Glover will appear at the Dalhousie Building on Saturday, 8th March. Consoles sought for largest free anime convention
The organisers of Scotland’s largest free anime convention have issued an appeal for gamers to lend them retro and contemporary consoles to allow battle to commence when the event returns to Dundee University Students Association (DUSA) next month. Researchers capture 'most complete' picture of gene expression in cancer cell cycle
Uncontrolled cell growth and division is a hallmark of cancer. Now a research project led by the University of Dundee has provided the most complete description to date of the gene activity which takes place as human cells divide. Researchers have managed to gather data which details the behaviour of protein molecules encoded by over 6000 genes in cancer cells, as they move through the cell cycle. Dundee academics elected Fellows of Royal Society of Edinburgh
The University of Dundee's Professor Claire Halpin and Professor Mary Renfrew have been honoured by election as Fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE).
