Dundee among world’s best in subject rankings
The University of Dundee features among the world’s elite higher education institutions in this year’s QS World University Rankings© by Subject, published on 29th April 2015. Art & Design, Biological Sciences and Education at Dundee are in the World’s Top 100, Medicine and Pharmacology feature in the Top 150, and English Language & Literature is in the Top 250 institutions worldwide. University welcomes Indian delegation
A delegation of senior representatives from one of India’s premier healthcare, academic and research institutions is visiting the University of Dundee this week to explore possibilities of developing closer links between the two institutions. The visit from Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University (SBV) in Pondicherry follows a similar trip made to India by staff from the School of Medicine at Dundee in January. ‘The Story of Alice: Lewis Carroll and The Secret History of Wonderland’ – Saturday, 2nd May
The 150th anniversary of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, one of the world’s most famous and best loved children’s books, will be celebrated at the University of Dundee this Saturday. Professor Robert Douglas Fairhurst will explore Lewis Carroll’s life and his masterpiece at the next instalment of the Saturday Evening Lecture series from 6pm at the University’s Dalhousie Building, Old Hawkhill. PAMIS in running for national charity award
PAMIS, the University of Dundee-based charity that works with people with profound and multiple learning difficulties and their families, has been named as a finalist in the 2015 Scottish Charity Awards. Organised by Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), the Awards celebrate the work of charities, community groups and people across Scotland who dedicate themselves to making the country a better place to live. Dundee among fastest risers in Complete University Guide rankings
The University of Dundee is one of the fastest risers in the 2016 Complete University Guide league tables, moving up seven places in the rankings which are released today (April 27th). Dundee is in the UK top ten in seven of the subject areas of the rankings, including 2nd in the UK for Anatomy & Physiology and 3rd for General Engineering.
