National Student Survey puts DUSA top in Scotland again as University achieves record results overall
The 2014 National Student Survey has once again named Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) as the top university students’ union in Scotland, also rising to fourth spot across the whole UK. Meanwhile, the University of Dundee has been ranked in the top 20 in the UK overall as it achieved record results in the survey. DUSA saw its scores rise this year with 86 per cent of the 2,000-plus respondents stating they were satisfied with their union, an improvement on the 82 per cent figure for 2013 and its highest ever score. Professor Paul Harris has been appointed Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD), part of the University of Dundee. ‘Mouth Matters’ – better oral care for offenders
The oral health of prisoners and young offenders in Scotland is worse than that of the general population. Now a new guide has been launched which aims to help significantly improve `Mouth Matters’ for the prison population. Michael Matheson, Minister for Public Health, will launch the `Mouth Matters’ guide for trainers on Tuesday, 12th August. The `Mouth Matters’ project will offer better oral care for offenders and help address their oral health and psychosocial needs. Visions of Discovery scientific image exhibition goes on tour
The Visions of Discovery exhibition, featuring fascinating images that reflect the ground-breaking biomedical research being undertaken at the University of Dundee, will go on display at venues in London and Cambridge later this month.
