Academician accolades for Dundee duo
Graeme Hutton, Professor of Architecture at the University of Dundee, has been elected as an academician of the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA). Jim Pattison, an Honorary Research Fellow at the University, has also received the same accolade. He and Professor Hutton will join more than 100 other artists and architects as Royal Scottish Academicians. Many academicians take a leading role in higher education and in many of Scotland’s cultural institutions. ‘A Just Peace for Palestinians and Israelis’ – 24th November
The UK’s former Consul-General in Jerusalem will tomorrow visit the University of Dundee to discuss how peace can be brought to the Middle East. Exhibition celebrates Dundee polymath
Artworks and artefacts from the University of Dundee’s D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum will this weekend go on display in Edinburgh at a new exhibition celebrating the polymath who gives his name to the museum. Damehood no match for daughter’s graduation
Professor Sue Black may have received her Damehood from HM The Queen at Buckingham Palace last week but it will be a ceremony at Dundee’s Caird Hall this Friday that really fills her with pride. The American who came to Dundee to study American History and found love
The University of Dundee turned out to be the best place for American Jonathan De Vries to study his country’s history, for both professional and personal reasons. Jonathan (35) moved from Wisconsin to carry out his Masters in American History at the University in 2009.
