Degree Show plaudits and prizes for exhibiting students
Sixteen of the students who wowed visitors to this year’s record-breaking University of Dundee Art, Design and Architecture Degree Show have been selected for the prestigious 2016 Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries. The students from the Architecture, Art, Philosophy and Contemporary Practices, Fine Art and Time Based Art & Digital Film programmes will exhibit alongside graduates from the other main colleges of art in Scotland. The University of Dundee’s Cooper Gallery is to present the first major exhibition dedicated to Scottish contemporary art to be held in China in collaboration with Shanghai Himalayas Museum. ‘CURRENT: Contemporary Art from Scotland’ is a collaboration between Cooper Gallery and Shanghai Himalayas Museum. University excellence showcase for Pakistani delegation
A delegation from Sindh Madressatul Islam University, one of the oldest educational institutions in Pakistan, will visit the University of Dundee next week. The group will be headed by Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, Vice-Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University, and will include nine students and four Professors along with representatives of the British Council. Mine-crafting the future of Dundee’s waterfront
Dundee’s central waterfront is the midst of a £1billion transformation. The project has already proved attractive to the world’s leading architects, including Kengo Kuma, designer of the V&A Museum of Design, Dundee.
