#TakingControl - World Diabetes Day

Diabetes research at the University of Dundee - which has been acclaimed as sparking a `medical revolution’ - will be highlighted as part of World Diabetes Day on Saturday November 14th. ‘People & Place’ – 11th annual Culture Day

The River Tay, Highland Clearances, Claude Monet, interior design and Minecraft are among the subjects that will be explored at the University of Dundee’s 11th annual Culture Day next week. Winter Graduation 2015

More than 1000 students will be joined by family and friends to celebrate their academic achievements at the University of Dundee's Winter Graduation next week. Taking place at Caird Hall over three ceremonies on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th November, the Graduation will see students spanning a wide range of disciplines receive their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and diplomas. The winter celebrations are held to allow students whose courses finish after the traditional summer graduation to receive their awards as soon as possible after successfully completing their studies. LifeSpace-commissioned work features in international group exhibition at The Lowry

An artwork created for the opening of the University of Dundee’s LifeSpace Science Art Research Gallery is included in an international exhibition of current digital art practice opening this week at The Lowry in Salford. ‘Stutterer’, created by artists Thomson & Craighead is a two-channel video installation that uses the human genome sequence as its score and take more than 75 years to play from beginning to end. `Fashion Revolution’ hits Dundee

The global Fashion Revolution design movement arrives at the University of Dundee on Thursday November 12th on its only Scottish stop of a UK tour. The Fashion Revolution movement was borne out of the response to the 2013 Rana Plaza garment factory collapse in Bangladesh, which tragically killed over a 1000 factory workers.
