‘Jacobites by Name’ – new Calum Colvin exhibition to open at Scottish National Portrait Gallery
The University of Dundee’s Calum Colvin, one of Scotland’s leading contemporary artists, explores the visual imagery and legacy of the Jacobite Risings of 1715 and 1745 in a new exhibition opening at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery this week. ‘Jacobites by Name’ is one of two new exhibitions marking the 300th anniversary of the 1715 Jacobite Rising. Exceptional students recognised for achievements
The annual Life & Biomedical Sciences Education Student Awards at the University of Dundee will this week recognise the accomplishments of dozens of high-achieving undergraduates. Thirty-six students will be congratulated for their hard work over the last academic year in ‘The Street’ at the Discovery Centre, School of Life Sciences, on Thursday, 12th November. #LoveDesignDundee launched by UNESCO City of Design Dundee
What design do you love in Dundee? UNESCO City of Design Dundee is calling for everyone in the city to share photos on social media with the #LoveDesignDundee hashtag. Each month the team will share a new theme – for the first month they’re looking for photos of ‘Beautiful buildings’.
