Two months of global history events
Two months of debates, workshops, network events and conferences on global history will begin at the University of Dundee this weekend with an exploration of Empire. Throughout May and June the University’s Scottish Centre for Global History will welcome some of the discipline’s most prominent practitioners of global history. They will explain their vision of the field, host conferences on cutting edge research and hold training workshops for new doctoral researchers. Dundee lecturer represents Scotland at 56th Venice Biennale
Graham Fagen, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dundee and one of the UK’s foremost contemporary artists, is leading Scotland’s representation at the 2015 Venice Biennale. The Biennale is regarded as the largest and most prestigious visual arts exhibition in the world, and millions of visitors from around the world will visit it from 9th May to 22nd November. Computing Degree Show 2015
Software engineers, games developers, computer programmers, tech entrepreneurs and other digital pioneers from the University of Dundee will this week showcase their innovative and thought-provoking work. The Computing Degree Show 2015 celebrates the creative talent of 40 students about to complete the final year of their undergraduate courses, with exhibits ranging from games to support children with autism and diabetes to business-focused applications. The State of Europe and the European Union: From War to Peace... to Peacemaker?
The challenges posed to the European Union both as a peacemaker in the wars outside its borders and by the rise of extremism and xenophobia within its own member states will be explored at a Europe Day lecture by Dr Rama Mani at the University of Dundee on Saturday May 9th. Degree Show 2015 shows off brightest creative minds
The work of some of the UK’s brightest young creative minds will be celebrated at the University of Dundee Art, Design and Architecture Degree Show 2015 from May 22nd.
