Hippotherapy study looks to help children with cerebral palsy
Can horse riding reduce the effects of spasticity in the limbs of children with cerebral palsy? A medical student at the University of Dundee has embarked on a research study with a local riding school to see whether patients can gain significant benefits from therapeutic horse riding, known as Hippotherapy. Student Janie Giraudon has been working with the Brae Riding School in Dundee to see if there are any positive changes in pressure distribution in children with Cerebral Palsy during therapeutic horse riding. University students `PopDundee’ with Overgate shop
Dundee shoppers will have the chance to buy work from some of the city’s brightest young creatives throughout this week as students from the University of Dundee set up their pop-up `POPDUNDEE’ shop in the Overgate Centre. ‘The University at War’ – new exhibition opens on 9th May
A new exhibition exploring the effect the First World War had on the institution that became the University of Dundee opens this weekend. ‘The University at War’ tells the stories of staff and students from what was then University College Dundee who fought on the front line, or undertook important wartime research.
