The University of Dundee’s School of Business will help bring an extra Star to the city after signing an innovative sponsorship deal with the local ice hockey team Dundee CCS Stars.
The School of Business will be sponsoring an international player by offering a scholarship on the MSc in Management programme, meaning the player will have the opportunity to earn a degree while they are with the Stars.
“We are delighted with the support from the University and the School of Business, which will make a real difference to the quality of player we can attract to Dundee,” said Steve Stirton, Sponsorship and Marketing head for the Stars.
“The opportunity to add to their education while they are here in Dundee is something that will be a very attractive proposition, adding extra value to their time here.”
Dr Lissa Monk, Course Director of the MSc in Management degree, said, “This is a really innovative form of student recruitment! We are delighted to work with the Stars to bring a very good player – and student – to Dundee.”
