Patrick Harvie MSP, Co-Convener of the Scottish Green Party, will be in conversation at the University of Dundee next week in the latest in the 5 Million Questions series of events.
5 Million Questions' David Torrance will lead an in-depth discussion covering the main issues of the referendum debate so far as well as Mr Harvie’s personal perspective on perhaps the defining moment of the modern Scottish political era.
“We are delighted to welcome Patrick into our series of conversations with the main figures contributing to the referendum debate,” said David Torrance. “I am sure Patrick will lend a very interesting slant to the debate that we have heard throughout our series of 5 Million Questions events.”
Patrick Harvie has served as a regional MSP for Glasgow since 2003 and is Co-Convener of the Scottish Green Party. He has worked on a wide range of issues including housing, energy, climate change, equalities, transport, planning and justice.
Before election to Parliament, Patrick was employed with the Gay Men’s Project at the sexual health agency PHACE Scotland (now known as THT Scotland) from 1997-2003, initially as a youth worker and then as Development Worker for the Lanarkshire area. He was also involved in the Campaign to Repeal Section 28 in 1999-2000.
The event takes place in the Dalhousie Building at the University of Dundee at 6pm on Friday 5th September.
5 Million Questions has been established by the University of Dundee to examine the many issues around Scotland’s constitutional debate, stimulating wider discussion, applying academic rigour to examination of the issues, and engaging with the public on all aspects of the major questions they are facing.
