Katharine Hamnett speaking at University of Dundee events
Renowned British designer and pioneer of ethical and environmental fashion Katharine Hamnett has been confirmed as a speaker at two University of Dundee events next month. Service jammers aim to show they have the Vision to change the world
Designers from Dundee will this weekend work with people from all walks of life to try and solve serious issues affecting the world when the city once again takes part in the Global Service Jam. The Dundee Jam, led by staff and students at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD), takes place at the Vision Building, Greenmarket, from 5pm on Friday, 27th February and once again challenges participants to change the world in 48 hours. Gaelic film nomination for Dundee-based student from Spain
An animation student from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) has been shortlisted for an award in a national film competition aiming to promote the Gaelic language. Fiona McAndrew, a second-year student at DJCAD, has been nominated in the Best Student Film category of the FilmG competition. Her animation, ‘Romansa Sèimh’, tells the story of someone who doesn't want to let her fear of a relationship coming to an end stop her from making the most out of love.
