Hope arrives on campus
A striking new sculpture has been unveiled on University of Dundee’s city campus - Hope, a large black dog from the leading UK mental health charity SANE. The 3ft fibreglass statue, part of SANE’s successful Black Dog campaign, now stands at the heart of the city campus to remind students and staff about the importance of talking about mental health. CBE for Professor Bob Steele
Professor Bob Steele, of the University of Dundee, has been awarded a CBE in HM The Queen’s Birthday Honours list for his work on the prevention, early detection and treatment of colorectal cancer. Professor Steele holds a Chair in Surgery in the School of Medicine at the University of Dundee. Fundraiser’s visit inspires Dundee researchers
A charity trekker whose husband’s life was cut short by Parkinson’s disease has been hailed as an inspiration by University of Dundee researchers developing treatments for the condition. Lyndsey Isaacs visited the University’s School of Life Sciences on Friday as she continues her 200-mile fundraising walk along Scotland’s coastline. MOOC aims to improve video game experience
The University of Dundee has launched a new online course to help video games companies use the vast amount of data collected from users to enhance the gaming experience and increase profits. Most of the data generated by companies is disregarded despite its value to the gaming industry.
