Nursing fair to prescribe career opportunities
Nursing and healthcare providers will gather in Dundee next week for one of the sector’s biggest recruitment fairs. Student and graduate nurses alike will have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with employers to help them find a home for their newly-acquired skills. NHS Trusts, residential care operators and specialised providers will all be in attendance for the fair, hosted by the University of Dundee. Celebrating a legacy of art and design in Dundee
An exhibition marking the 15th anniversary of a fund set up to support some of Scotland’s best young artists and designers will open at the University of Dundee this weekend. Since 2003, a trust fund set up by William Sangster Phillips, son of the well-known Dundee artist Charles Gustav Louis Phillips, has provided more than 40 postgraduate bursaries for the University’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Smoke alarm research leads to prestigious shortlisting
University of Dundee research exploring how a new generation of smoke alarms could help save the lives of children around the world has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry prize. Discovery raises possibility of treating neurological disorders
The discovery of a novel class of enzyme in human biology by scientists at the University of Dundee has opened a new area of research that could benefit patients suffering from a range of neurological disorders. These disorders include the acquired neuropathies associated with chemotherapy and diabetes, both of which are on the rise and significantly affect patient quality of life.
