Nursing fair to prescribe career opportunities

Nursing and healthcare providers will gather in Dundee next week for one of the sector’s biggest recruitment fairs.

Student and graduate nurses alike will have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with employers to help them find a home for their newly-acquired skills.

NHS Trusts, residential care operators and specialised providers will all be in attendance for the fair, hosted by the University of Dundee.

The event takes place in the Bonar Hall, Park Place, on Wednesday 25 April from 11am – 2pm.

NHS Tayside, NHS Fife, NHS Lothian, Abbotsford Care and the Army Medical Services are just some of the 27 recruiters that will be represented at the event.

Entry is free and further details, including fast track ticket information, can be found online.

Ruth O’Riordan, Senior Careers Adviser for Dundee’s School of Nursing and Health Studies, said, “Events like this allow the University to support our students and graduates into the world of work.

“This year the School of Nursing and Health Sciences has been ranked in the top 100 by QS World University Rankings, an achievement that we are particularly proud of, and it is by hosting fairs like this that we can showcase the skills of our students to potential employers.

“We get lots of positive feedback from recruiters who tell us how much they value the training received by students trained here at Dundee, and that is why so many are always represented when we host this event.”
