University looks east with Memorandum of Understanding

The University of Dundee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Management and Science University in Malaysia that will see the institutions explore future learning and research links.

A delegation from the Kuala Lumpur-based MSU visited Dundee to sign the agreement after touring the campus and hearing about the leading-edge research and teaching taking place at the University’s Medical School. It is hoped the MoU will lead to future research collaborations as well as students enjoying international exchange programmes.

Wendy Alexander, Vice-Principal (International) at the University, said, “We are delighted to sign this agreement with the Management and Science University and hope this will lead to a fruitful relationship that facilitates global exchanges. South East Asia is a major focus of our internationalisation strategy and we are seeking to build on our existing activities in this region.”

Professor Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, President of the Management and Science University, added, “We are looking forward to partnering with the University of Dundee to enhance our students’ experience and to give Dundee students the chance to come to Malaysia. We will also be looking to develop new research collaborations.”
